Pour un bref aperçu sur l'histoire des parties du discours en vietnamien (2è période)

Abstract : This article analyzes the development of the parts of speech classificatory systems elaborated for Vietnamese over several centuries. The first part (HEL XXVI/ 1, p. 137-158) was devoted to explaining (1) the historical background (the «Quốc ngữ»); (2) some features of Vietnamese; (3) the first stage in the history of grammatical description, represented by the appendix to the Dictionarium annamiticum, lusitanum et latinum by Alexandre de Rhodes (1651) and the Grammaire de la langue annamite by Trương Vĩnh Ký (1883). This second part studies (4) the second stage, or «syntactic» school, represented by Grammont and Lê Quang Trình (1911-1912); (5) the 3rd stage, or «descriptive» school, represented by Lê Văn Lý (1948); and finally (6) the 4th stage, the semanticosyntactic school, represented by the Grammaire de la langue vietnamienne du Comité d’État des Sciences sociales du Vietnam (1983, 2000).
