'EXPERIMENTS IN EXILE': A ficto-critical comparison of the poetics of Lionel Fogarty and Aimé Césaire

Abstract : This paper unmasks an imaginary alliance between Négritude and Indigenous-Australian poetry to continue the challenging of narrative possibilities. Paying primary focus on the poetics of Lionel Fogarty and Aimé Césaire, this paper explores the relations of these poets and how they each enact their own authorial authorship and power. This paper entangles two surrealist writers to create a kaleidoscopic sovereignty of a Black avant-garde.
