LE SPORT AUX TEMPS PRÉHISTORIQUES, MYTHE OU RÉALITÉ ?

Abstract : Looking for track of prehistorically human physical or sport activity led us to question the definition of the relatively recent word "sport". Could it be used concerning prehistoric times?. There are many different definitions of the word Sport but one of them seems to describe pretty well these prehistoric activities. In order to find out the evidence of these behaviour a study of the prehistoric testimony is fundamental. The recent studies in Prehistory and paleoanthropology gave us a wealthy view concerning tools, hunting, fishing, habitation, way of life, fire production, art and human figures representations of prehistoric men and their growth and physical possibilities. The conclusion of this research is that prehistoric men were doing many physical exercises which were identical with what modern sportsmen do. So, sport at prehistoric times is a reality
